Weight loss


Coconut oil can be used very effectively for weight loss. Of course, you must be at a daily caloric deficit of about 500 calories. It will also be highly beneficial to exercise regularly.


Once both these cornerstones are in place, you can use coconut oil to further speed up the weight loss process with a ketogenic diet.


The ketogenic diet is high in fat with moderate protein intake. Carbohydrates are kept incredibly low. It may seem counterproductive to eat fat when you are trying to lose fat. Yet, it works amazingly well!


Firstly, weight gain is often the result of eating too much processed carbohydrates which causes insulin spikes and fat storage. Eating fatty food is less detrimental than eating carbs such as doughnuts, white bread, pizzas, etc.


Secondly, most people who try to lose weight often notice that the body stubbornly holds on to its fat stores. The body is storing and saving the fat for future use. This is evolution at its finest. Your body is constantly in survival mode and by saving fat, it is ensuring you have fuel for any future emergency.


By consuming a diet that is high in fat, your body will realize that fuel is plentiful, and it will burn off your fat stores more readily. It will not see the need to hold on to fat since it is in abundant supply.


All you need to do is cut down your carb intake and increase your fat intake. 2 tablespoons of coconut oil and food prepared with coconut oil will give your body all the fat it needs.


Do not consume processed foods and refined carbs. Prepare your meats with coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil. It is perfectly fine to eat fatty cuts of meat and eggs.


You should be on a ketogenic diet anywhere from 3 weeks to a month to see results. There are people who like the ketogenic diet so much that they decide to stay on it for life. This is not advisable.


Too much of anything can be bad. Use the ketogenic diet to shred the fat off your body and then go back to eating a balanced diet.


Nutrition & Illnesses


Coconut oil also prevents chronic fatigue. The world we live in is hectic and leaves many people feeling tired, lethargic, fatigued and just not in the mood for anything.


Millions of people are sick and tired of being sick and tired. Focusing too much attention on career, money, etc. while neglecting one’s health often leads to disastrous consequences.


While coconut oil can never replace having a well-balanced diet and active lifestyle, it can take up some of the slack. It will help to keep you leaner, prevent inflammation and other diseases from taking root when your immune system is down. The lauric acid in the coconut oil will kill off harmful bacteria and other detrimental viruses which will inevitably cause problems.


Millions of people suffer from inflammation. Their joints and muscles seem to be swollen, ache and hurt for no reason at all. This is often due to a poor diet, the presence of hydrogenated oils and a sedentary lifestyle.


Replacing the hydrogenated oils with coconut oil will solve most of the problems. You should get some exercise daily too. Besides that, make an active effort to de-stress with meditation or yoga or do whatever makes you feel relaxed.
