On a Personal Note - Happy Birthday to Me!

My name is Jo Keirns, I am the voice behind the Living Tree Company's blog. Before we had Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, or many of the other social media sites, there was a little corner of the internet world called Xanga. Although I had the Living Tree Company, on the Xanga, I was Lady of Avalon Land. Here I wrote poetry, and stories, it truly was my first blogging experience, and I made many, many good friends through Xanga, we really connected, and have remained friends throughout the years. Xanga somewhat crashed, many of my poems lost, but some survived. Today on my 62nd I have decided in honor of my birthday to repost a poem from my xanaga site that I wrote on my 49th birthday. This is a special shout out to all my xange friends and family. We do have 3 Xanaga groups on Facebook, Donkeyville, Xanga Alumni, and Xangaforever. Here is my original poem with original photos. Over the past 20 years or so from Xanga to now, my topics have changed, and my writing improved, but Xanga still holds a very special place in my heart. Through Xanga I gained confidence and courage, it helped make me the person I am today. The last two days have been stories similar to what I would have posted on Xanaga. Thank you all that follow my blog, Love and Blessings!

Another year gone by, some lessons still left unknown. The future is mysterious my past I call my own. But this year has been the best, that it could ever be. And now as I look around, I can finally see.

There's nothing ever, written in stone. There is never a, real wrong or right. It's just this road that we call life. Let your Creator lead your way. Don't listen to what, everyone else has to say.

I go past places,

with memories on end.

Of past wins and losses,

and enemies and friends.

How did I change,

and grow so fast?

Funny how the great times,

always seem to last.

There's nothing ever, written in stone. There is never a, real wrong or right. It's just this road that we call life. Let your Creator lead your way. Don't listen to what, everyone else has to say.

I sit in silence and reminisce

Thoughts flashing through my mind,

Good and bad, happy, and sad,

Funny how they all intertwine.

But of all the things that made me proud.

The absolute best thing that I have ever done,

The one thing I am most thankful for,

Giving birth to my son.

There's nothing ever, written in stone. There is never a, real wrong or right. It's just this road that we call life. Let your Creator lead your way. Don't listen to what, everyone else has to say.

So, on my birthday this advice I give,

always make the best of your days,

count your blessings big and small,

Remember to give God your praise. Find you someone, to love and to hold. Grasp onto dreams, and never let go.

There's nothing ever,

written in stone.

There is never a,

real wrong or right.

It's just this road

that we call life.

Let your Creator

lead your way.

Don't listen to what,

everyone else has to say.

Have a peaceful and blessed Sunday!
